An interesting recent development has been the humidification of produce in the greenhouse (more information on a greenhouse installation here). This can be advantageous in several ways obviously the humidity is increased, the mist provides shading and the temperature in the greenhouse can be significantly reduced. On a recent installation in the UK, the temperature in the greenhouse was reduced from 35^oC, to below the 30^oC ambient, just with the use of misting.
